about

87FEI87 is proud to unveil its second in a series of EPs from Beijing-based producers, this one courtesy of the undisputed leader of the China acid techno militia: GUZZ, who slows down and steps up with two lush tunes driven by thick old-school analogue basslines.

On the A side is “From the Desert,” which sounds like Giorgio Moroder, Karl Lagerfeld, and David Hasselhoff making fierce love on the hood of a 1982 Trans Am in the middle of the Gobi. On the flip is “To the Moon,” is a slow-melting opium burner, pure 808-propelled rocket funk made for slinking straight past the stratosphere.

On remix duty are the dons of the Shanghai four-four, MHP and DJ Doggy, and Beijing-based gearheads Fløøød and Vurado Bokoda.
